Michel Apartments accommodation in the heart of Gdansk

Gdansk - Długi Targ Street

I have always and forever loved Gdańsk, and I am aware that there are many, many more of us "in love" with this city.

Gdańsk is addictive, you always want to come back here, and the more often we come back, the stronger my longing as soon as I leave the borders of this magical place.

Gdansk - Mariacka Street

An evening walk through the fairy-tale streets of the city within a dozen or so steps.

You leave the apartment and you have a choice of the biggest attractions of the Main Town in all directions. You are in the heart of Gdańsk.

You can go for a walk along the illuminated promenade on Długa or along the peaceful, shimmering festivities of the Motława River reflecting in the water with a view of Granary Island. Everything is very close, in fact you don't have to choose because a leisurely walk will take you everywhere in a few minutes, to the Crane, to the Carousel, wherever you want.

Gdansk - Long Embankment
MICHEL APARTMENT

I recommend another great place here, in the very heart of old Gdansk.

Elegant apartment with a view of the Motława River at a reasonable, although not the lowest price.

The apartment is located on the top floor of the white tenement house in the photo below.

Gdansk - Long Embankment

The location with a view of the Długie Pobrzeże and Granary Island , right next to the Green Gate and the most famous Długa Street in the entire city, or the fairy-tale Mariacka Street , as well as beautifully decorated interiors, is a guarantee of satisfaction and a successful weekend.

The Michel Apartment with an entrance from the quiet Pończoszników Street, which leads directly to the Green Gate, Długa Street and the Green Bridge, from the historic wooden doors weighing over 200 kilograms, beautifully decorated, this place stimulates the imagination. Wooden stairs and a warm, cozy staircase lead through three floors to elegantly furnished, cozy apartments, one on each floor.

This time I present an apartment on the top floor, a one-of-a-kind apartment with a balcony, but soon there will also be a review of apartments without a balcony, on the lower floors.

Gdańsk - view of the Motława River from the Michel apartment

In these historic tenement houses on Długie Pobrzeże, a balcony is a rarity, and on the left side from the Crane towards Zielony Most , there is the only tenement house that has a balcony overlooking the Motława River, Granary Island and the Marina.

Gdańsk - Hewelion's Figurine

The one-room apartment surprised us with its cozy interior, tastefully decorated with attention to every detail.

The room is equipped with a large comfortable bed, bedside tables, two armchairs and a coffee table, a TV with a package of various televisions, a wardrobe with a large mirror, a spacious chest of drawers, a coffee and tea set, a mini fridge and available wifi.

The balcony, equipped with a set of garden furniture, can serve as a place for romantic breakfasts or evening relaxation with a glass of wine, coffee and cake in the summer season.

The bathroom is clean, ergonomic, tastefully decorated in subdued grey, white and black shades that enhance the impression of sterile cleanliness. Guests have at their disposal a hairdryer, towels, a large shower cubicle and, as a package, a view of the city from Pończoszników Street.

The very nice owners of the apartment run a gallery of amber products downstairs , AMBER Manufacture Poland , and a small souvenir shop. All guests of the apartment have a discount in this shop on every product available in the offer.

In addition to amber products, there is also something for connoisseurs of stronger drinks, you can buy the famous herbal liqueur from Gdańsk GoldWasser here. I recommend trying the local vodka decorated with gold.

An old legend has it that the gold flakes were there thanks to the Neptune of Gdańsk, who, angry at people throwing gold coins into the fountain, struck the water with his trident and smashed all the coins into tiny pieces. And from this memorable event comes the name of the GoldWasser liqueur, loosely translated as "golden water", because when this water was used to produce the liqueur, it shimmered with gold flakes from coins smashed by the Lord of the Seas.

The only inconvenience is the limited entry to the Main City zone, and the limited number of parking spaces. Without a special entry ticket, it is better not to risk it, the city guards control the zone and check parking tickets every day.

A good solution is to find a paid parking lot somewhere nearby, and take a taxi to the apartment. TAXI will come right to the door.
